Testing the efficiency of vibration pile drivers
HBM measurement technology ensures reliable results during efficiency testing of vibration pile drivers – using a specially adapted force transducer.
Vibration pile drivers are used in underground engineering for supporting the soil, for example, when driving in piles. Vibration pile drivers are used as alternatives to conventional impact pile drivers, in particular because of their low noise level and small impulse forces.
A customized transducer, developed and produced by HBM, measures force directly at the vibrators’ tool holder for evaluating efficiency. At a nominal (rated) measuring range of 500 kN, a strain gage full bridge is installed on the customized transducer.
In combination with a module of the MP55 (PME series) amplifier with 100 Hz low-pass filter, the equipment is used in test series covering different soil conditions.
