K-OTC - Optical temperature compensation sensor
K-OTC is a fiber Bragg technology-based sensor that enables thermal temperature dilatation to be compensated for.
Product Description
Temperature compensation for more accurate measurement results
Optical sensors, for example K-OR or K-OL from HBM are highly temperature dependent. In the event of temperature variations during strain measurement, the resulting mechanical and thermal strain is measured. However, if mechanical strain only is to be measured, the thermal strain needs to be compensated for. With K-OTC, catman®AP measurement software enables mathematical compensation to be achieved. The software is easy to use and mathematical compensation, too, becomes a simple task.
Due to its innovative properties, the K-OTC optical sensor is particularly suitable for applications in experimental stress analysis, for example in materials testing or high-voltage applications.
