K-OTC - Optical temperature compensation sensor
K-OTC is a fiber Bragg technology-based sensor that enables thermal temperature dilatation to be compensated for.
Temperature compensation for more accurate measurement results
Optical sensors, for example K-OR or K-OL from HBM are highly temperature dependent. In the event of temperature variations during strain measurement, the resulting mechanical and thermal strain is measured. However, if mechanical strain only is to be measured, the thermal strain needs to be compensated for. With K-OTC, catman®AP measurement software enables mathematical compensation to be achieved. The software is easy to use and mathematical compensation, too, becomes a simple task.
Due to its innovative properties, the K-OTC optical sensor is particularly suitable for applications in experimental stress analysis, for example in materials testing or high-voltage applications.

Candid data sheets: We keep our promises.
Precision in series: This also applies to the accuracy of the values specified in our data sheets. Ideal conditions can often be theoretically attained based on the values given, but our data sheets focus on realistic standard assumptions - such as those likely to be encountered in your application. Therefore, please consider this when comparing our data sheets with those of other manufacturers.
