The S9M force transducer is ideal for use in OEM and experimental applications as well as in test equipment, test benches, hardness testers and production lines. Whether in materials testing, functional testing of components or production monitoring - this S-shaped force transducer can be used for a wide range of applications with the most demanding accuracy requirements.

Advantages offered by S-shaped force transducers

S9M features the typical characteristics of S-shaped force transducers such as high measurement accuracy and an excellent price-to-performance ratio. A special feature that should be emphasized is the robust S9M force transducer's high precision and its resulting classification with accuracy class 0.02.

Cutting-edge force measurement

S9M offers nominal (rated) forces ranging from 500 N to 50 kN. All measuring bodies, even the one for a nominal (rated) force of 500 N, are made from stainless steel. Force is applied either directly via the two central internal threads or via knuckle eyes that can be ordered as an option. In addition, S9M features welded and therefore hermetically sealed strain gage installation that enables the force transducer to be classified with degree of protection IP68.

Due to its multiple applications in experimental stress analysis, OEM applications or test equipment, the S9M force transducer ideally complements HBM's wide range of force transducers. Together with its force transducers for dynamic applications (U10M) and transducers for small nominal (rated) forces (S2), HBM covers the complete range of force transducers for test equipment.

Now even more powerful

Critical elements have been optimized and now the new S9M force transducer replaces its predecessor S9. S9M has been designed to allow continued use of all force application parts used so far. The height and width of the predecessor model have remained unchanged; the S9 force transducer can therefore easily be replaced with its successor S9M.
