Monitoring the Reichenbach and Albrechtsgraben viaducts
Normally, road bridges are visually inspected at regular intervals, in order to detect any defects and/or to decide whether additional rehabilitation might become necessary.
The monitoring system proposed in this article should be regarded as supplementary to such inspections since it offers the opportunity to consider specific damaging effects separately, as well as provide permanent surveillance.
