Experimental stress analysis on the blades of a model ship propeller
In this article the authors reveal their techniques in overcoming these difficulties.
In the use of miniature models to simulate the effects of large components and structures there are problems due to scaling which do not occur on full-size measurement objects. When the measurements involve strain gages mounted on model propellers in an underwater environment, problems of insulation, protection and signal transmission also need careful consideration.
