Robust and precise: Force transducers with UNF threads
The reliable type U10 force transducers made by HBM have been in use very successfully for years now in test benches, industrial applications and test machines.

The HBM U10S force transducers can now also be used in applications where inch threads are standard, thanks to the new versions with UNF threads.
The measurement technology specialist is now extending this transducer family with the U10S version, which has a UNF standard thread for mechanical connection.
The force transducers, which work with SG technology, are available with nominal (rated) measuring ranges of 1.25 kN to 500 kN. Both static and dynamic tensile and compressive forces can be safely and precisely measured with a high level of mechanical reserve, even where high lateral forces and bending moments act on the transducer.
In contrast to metric threads, UNF thread diameters and pitches are specified in inches. UNF threads are the norm in Great Britain and the USA. In other regions, UNF threads can be found in numerous sectors, e.g. aircraft construction.
The force transducers are made of rustless materials and come with electrical bending moment alignment. They are available from HBM in numerous different configurations and can therefore be ideally suited to the requirements of the application in case.
In addition to various connection variants for electrical connection, various mechanical designs and the option of calibration with 200% of the nominal (rated) force, TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) is also available for the automatic parameterization of the amplifier system and, since recently, UNF threads.
