A test-rig for the evaluation of comfort in motor vehicles
Pleasure and comfort are subjective quantities when applied to the use of a car, but within the automotive industry objective assessments are required for reasons of quality assurance.
Pleasure and comfort are subjective quantities when applied to the use of a car, but within the automotive industry objective assessments are required for reasons of quality assurance. Therefore AUDI AG have developed a test-rig for measuring comfort and this test facility is integrated into the vehicle final acceptance procedure.
The main features of the test-rig include transducers for force, pressure, torque and displacement. The signals from these transducers are processed by a multi-channel data acquisition system coupled to a computer.
