Non-contact torque measurement on a test-rig for electrical drives
In order to make non-contact measurement of dynamic torque variations on a motor test-rig, a torque transducer with a high rotational rigidity and low mass moment of inertia was produced by the author of this article who also built the transmitter electronics.

The non-contact signal transmission from the rotating shaft was realized using capacitive principles with full compatibility to the TBT transmission unit from HBM. The article describes the construction of the torque transducer and the static and dynamic tests of the complete system.
