Blast Hazard Assessment
It is important to know the power and duration of an explosive event in order to determine the possible effect on personnel in the vicinity. These effects may have to be known in order to protect soldiers under attack or for those operating weapons. Knowing this information will allow planning for how close one can be to explosions or how often a weapon can be fired without causing damage to the operator.
The GEN5i data acquisition system with our Perception software has the ideal performance characteristics to allow for the recording of this type of test. Sensitive microphone pickups can be used to calculate blast duration and strength. Using automated routines, a report can be quickly and automatically generated.
