The AED makes implementation of your process control systems easy and convenient. AED converts the signals supplied by analog load cells into digital data. No new investments are required, because AED enables you to benefit from digital precision, with the systems you already have.

AED is easy, direct and efficient.  Start up your AED quickly, since the complete transducer electronics can be set up directly through the PC. Furthermore, only minor installation work is required thanks to the bus interfaces the system
uses.

The AED measurement chain consists of the following 3 components:

  • The amplifier board AD103C
  • Basic devices with additional interfaces, EMC protection, etc.
  • The AED Panel32 software.

AD103C Weighing Electronics

The AD103C digital transducer electronics makes your process control and monitoring tasks easy and convenient. AD103C digitizes the signals from analog load cells and transducers without the need to make any new investments. AED enables you to benefit from the speed and precision provided by digital weighing technology, even with existing systems.

Easy, direct, and powerful: Start up the AD103C transducer electronics in the twinkling of an eye. The whole electronics can be set up directly through the PC. The bus interfaces of the appropriate AED basic devices minimize installation work.

AD103C is a DC amplifier board for resistive transducers. It is equally fit for dynamic and static applications as checkweighers, multi-station combination weighers, sorting plants, dynamic postal scales, and filling plants. The RS-232 interface ensures direct connection to the PC.

AD101B Amplifier Board

AD101B DC amplifier PCB for strain gauge transducers for static and dynamic applications.

AD104C Amplifier Board

The AD104C amplifier board can be used together with analog load cells and transducers as a digital all-rounder. Equipped with four trigger functions and two limit value switches with hysteresis, the AD104C amplifier provide an alternative way of adapting existing solutions to the HBM digital concept (FIT® and AED).

With an adjustable output rate of up to 200 measured values per second, the handling, filter modes, analysis and setting options are also suitable for simple dosing and filling machines.

The AD104C is available with RS-232 and RS-485 4-wire interfaces. The AD105C offers RS-485 2-wire communication as an alternative.

AD104C is only available in units of 50 pieces. Demo kit available on request.

The AD105C amplifier board can be used together with analog load cells and transducers as digital all-rounder. Equipped with four trigger functions and two limit value switches with hysteresis, the AD105C amplifier provides an alternative way of adapting existing solutions to the HBM digital concept (FIT® and AED).

The AED basic devices come with various interfaces providing the right connection for the AD103C amplifier board. The AD103C electronics turns your analog load cells into digital all-rounders. The AD103C amplifier board can be used in all AED basic devices. The various device types differ in their interfaces and external supply voltage. Ethernet gateway

An Ethernet gateway is available as an option for AED 9401A, AED 9501A and FIT® digital load cells to facilitate integration into control systems.

AED Panel Software

The AED _Panel 32 software easy control of dynamic measurement tasks.

The intuitive panel software enables you to set up all parameters for your measurement.

More features:

  • Calibration of the scale
  • Selection of bus address and baud rate
  • Entry of four limit values including hysteresis
  • Graphical analysis and visualization of results

Use the integrated graphics function to clearly visualize the behavior of the weighing process. In addition, you have several analysis functions at hand, like the Fast Fourier Transform for frequency analysis. This function enables you to analyze the vibration behavior of mechanical interference sources.

Version 3.4

The new AED_Panel32 version 3.4 makes setting up parameters for your weighing applications even easier. Version 3.4 supports multi-head product weighers, too, and offers enhanced checkweigher functions, additional filter modes and new design elements.

50 digital filters provide protection against interference

Selectable filters eliminate undesired background signals resulting from, for example, vibrations or temperature effects. Results from static and dynamic measurements can thus be optimized.

The digital filters provide even more benefits:

Both AED digital transducer electronics and AED/FIT system firmware are available with the Parts Certificate under the new WELMEC Guide 8.8. AED products can therefore be used in non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWI) as well as in automatic weighing instruments (AWI).
