International senior support engineer

Key areas of responsibility
HBM Netherlands is seeking a lead senior support engineer to strengthen our global support team. The lead support engineer will be a key player to expand the world-wide Genesis-HighSpeed support channel. You will have the leading role in creating, extending and maintaining the Genesis HighSpeed customer support know-how, including training and second line support for our international support team. In this role you will be the key player to resolve the most complex challenges of our customers with the full support of our R&D engineers. You are comfortable leading online conferences as well as remote software/hardware debug sessions with international customers and HBM support engineers.
Education, Knowledge, experience, personal qualities
- Bsc or Msc degree in hardware/software/physics or comparable engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with support engineering.
- Understanding of sensor interfacing and electrical/mechanical power measurements.
- Experience with digital bus systems like CAN, EtherCAT and Ethernet is a pre.
- Familiar with creating support and training materials.
- Team player, but also able to solve problems individually.
- Accurate, practical and result driven personality.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both text and speech).
- Basic German communication skills (speech) is a pre.

The team drives high speed measurement beyond barriers that standard test and measurement equipment can’t reach while maintaining a superior reliability as many experiments of our customers are of a destructive nature. So we only have 1 chance to capture the data. The capabilities of the product R&D team include product system architecture, industrial design, mechanics, software, electronics, system architecture, storage devices and networking technology.
