CAN Recording in Genesis HighSpeed Mainframes

All tethered Genesis HighSpeed mainframes now can be equipped with an internal CAN interface. It offers

  • CAN recording
  • CAN acquisition control
  • CAN result transfer

This interface features:

  • 4 port x 256 channels for “CAN recording” (1000 channels total) with a fixed sample rate of 100 S/s each.
  • 1 port can be configured as “CAN result out” with blocks of up to 240 results and 1000 blocks/s.
  • 1 port offers “CAN remote control” to easily control your Genesis HighSpeed system via the CAN bus.

Improved eAxle Support

  • With the new firmware part of Perception 8.20, all power analyzer input cards GN310B / GN311B and the high voltage input cards GN610B / GN611B will now get upgraded with now 4 counter / timer channels (instead of 2 so far).
  • This enables you to address your eAxle applications in a much more efficient way:
    • The measurement of 3 phases and 2 torque transducers can now be done with a single input board!
  • The Perception ePower Suite supports you setting up your eAxle test out of the box with all extra, required formulas.
  • Different eAxle configurations come predefined in the Perception ePower Suite, while all these configurations can be customized as you like.

Sensor Database Now Free!

The sensor database lists all available HBM sensors and User sensors (optional). You can browse and access all sensors within the Perception Sensor Database.
Going forward, the Sensor database no longer requires a license.

Various New RT-FDB Formulas

Perceptions offers a wide range of growing real-time formulas. With Perception 8.20, new real-time formulas were added to the formula data base on customer request especially for ePower applications. Thus, the real-time formula database was extended with the following formulas:

  • Upper Envelope
  • Lower Envelope
  • BackEMF
  • Inverse dq0 transformation
  • Space vector to dq0 transformation
  • Dq0 to space vector transformation

Completely Redesigned Acquisition Menu

  • The new acquisition setup menu gives you a great overview over all acquisition related settings in one menu

    • On start of acquisition

    • On start of acquisition reduced rate and high sample rate to trigger memory

Recordings Setup Made Easy

A new, centralized recording setup with new features and intuitive settings:

  • Flexible storage options like storage per group, storage for full / reduced rates and for RT-FDB results only

  • With the new acquisition setup menue you can start and stop record on various conditions like trigger input, CAN or API

  • New Arm Trigger: Triggers can be suppressed until armed. Arm signal can be generated via RT-FDB, CAN bus, API or TTL input.

The ePower Suite will ease your test configuration

  • Multiple ePower sheets are generated automatically with all required formulas

Perception Keys are a powerful feature to fully customize actions or sequences. This will help you to be more efficient while working with Perception.

  • Always present & predefined user keys

  • Part of the default settings

  • Perception Keys can be customized and new ones can be created, so that Perception adapts to your workflow

Phasor Display

This new Perception component will help you to analyze the voltages and currents in your system under test

  • Used to visualize the amplitude and phase relations in 3-phase systems. In addition. It can be used for more than three phases or other entities, depending on your test setup and needs.

  • The Phasor display can be implemented automatically in Perceptions ePower suite
