Seminar: Data Acquisition – Interfaces, Synchronization, and Multi-Channel Systems (DAQ 3)
One Day Seminar Various Locations Level: Advanced
Do you want to measure across multiple channels and systems – synchronously and in real time? What is the best way to achieve this? In this seminar, we will show you several possibilities.
- Synchronisation in Mehrkanalsystemen und heterogenen Messketten
- Internal synchronization via FireWire (IEEE1494b) or optical interface
- External synchronization via Ethernet (NTP, PTPv2)
- Internal/external synchronization sources (GPS / IRIG-B)
- Synchronization and triggering
- Explanations of terms, handling, and a performance comparison
- Mobile data acquisition
- Setting up remote access connections via Ethernet (IP address, Subnet, DHCP APIPA)
- Data logging and data storage (continuous, event-controlled, statistical)
- Data transfer (FTP server, cloud integration, push notification)
- Explanations of terms, handling
- Data transfer via industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus systems
- Data transfer types and network topologies
- Comparison of industrial Ethernet and fieldbus systems (real-time requirement)
- Connecting HBM measuring instruments to CAN and PROFIBUS
- Setting up EtherCAT and PROFINET connections
Your HBM Academy Plus
Learning by classical explanations is complemented by hands-on experience. You will use half of the seminar time for practical implementation because hands-on experience—working independently and physically with what you have learned—is the only way to fully assimilate the information.
We offer specially equipped workspaces that enable you to determine important parameters such as sample rate and cut-off frequency yourself, check them and discuss your results with the whole team and/or the trainers.
Target Group:
Anyone who wants to acquire measured data digitally while preventing errors and being on the safe side.
Prior Knowledge:
Basic familiarity with mechanics and electrical engineering desirable.
These skills can be acquired in the seminars Basic Technical Mechanics Knowledge and Basic Principles of Electrical Engineering for Non-Electrical Engineers.
