Established in 1982, HBM Somat Products Division in Champaign, IL, is part of HBM in North America, responsible for the design, test and creation of rugged portable data acquisition systems and software for field and laboratory analysis. Its eDAQ systems feature proprietary designed layers and specific components for the purpose of rugged mobile data acquisition.
In addition, this Division provides pressure transducers for industrial and off-road applications, and produces piezoelectric accelerometers for modal and general vibration measurements. It's also at HBM Somat that InField, a field analysis software designed to enhance the field test collection and data visualization process, is developed.
This site located in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, takes on full responsibility for the development of the Genesis HighSpeed (GHS) product line of HBM, including Perception software. Its dedicated team is working with customers and HBM to create the world’s fastest and most reliable high speed data acquisition systems. Genesis calibrations are also conducted from the Netherlands office.
This Center drives high speed measurement beyond barriers that standard test and measurement equipment can’t reach, while maintaining a superior reliability. The capabilities of this product R&D Center include product system architecture, industrial design, mechanics, software, electronics, storage devices and networking technology.
