The strength behavior of components is influenced by residual stresses existing in these components without showing any visible signs. Therefore it makes sense to determine the existing stresses present in the components in order to take them into account when dimensioning a component.

This webinar presents the hole drilling method for residual stress analysis using the high speed drilling method. The strain variations resulting from the incremental creation of the bore in the measurement object are recorded by a strain gauge rosette developed especially for this procedure.
