Somat eDAQlite and Somat eDAQXR-lite Data Acquisition Systems: Compact, Rugged, Mobile Data Acquisition System

The Somat eDAQlite and eDAQXR-lite are the go anywhere, test anything compact version of the eDAQ and eDAQXR respectively. Engineered using the same technology, the eDAQlite and eDAQXR-lite has similar leading-edge signal conditioning and a capacity to perform a broad range of on-board data processing, triggering, intelligent data storage, and complex computations.

Not every test utilizes hundreds of channels.  Tests can be accomplished with both small and high channel counts using a single family of products. There is no learning curve, new software, or file formats; and eDAQXR and eDAQXR-lite systems can be seamlessly networked together.

The compact Somat eDAQlite and eDAQXR-lite can be installed inconspicuously to collect data under discrete conditions; for example, behind a dashboard panel.

Somat eDAQXR EXRLCPU

The EXRLCPU is the processor for the stand-alone mobile data acquisition system, and is considered the workhorse for the eDAQXR platform. Data from various inputs are stored onboard and can be downloaded after the test is completed. Tests may include minutes or even days of data while running long term vehicle tests. The system can either be disconnected from the PC while the test is running, remain connected via an Ethernet cable, or via WiFi to monitor channels in real-time. The powerful onboard processor can perform real-time calculations and provide powerful real-time displays of channels like strip charts, digital, FFT, XY, and much more. The system can even send text messages or emails if a fault condition is encountered.

The eDAQXRL supports the existing eDAQ-LITE expansion layers, with the exception of the ELCOM layer.  CAN and GPS are built into the new CPU layer, minimizing the overall system size.  The eDAQXRL can also support a distributed architecture when incorporating HBM SomatXR modules. The setup software resides on the processor, so setup can be easily done using a web browser such as Chrome.

Somat eDAQlite Base Processor (ELCPU-PLUS)

The ELCPU-PLUS is the processor for the eDAQ stand-alone mobile data acquisition system. Onboard memory stores the data until test is completed which is downloadable to a PC for analysis. Tests may include minutes of data, or even days of data while running long term vehicle tests. The system can either be disconnected from the PC while the test is running, remain connected via an Ethernet cable, or via WiFi to monitor tests in real-time.

The eDAQ system utilizes the proven TCE Windows software, which comes free of charge.
