QuantumX CX22B: Data Recorder for High Performance Testing or Monitoring
The QuantumX CX22B Data Recorder seamlessly integrates with the universal, distributable QuantumX series. It collects, analyzes and stores the acquired measurement data directly in the device - without a PC connection and with total sample rates up to 5 MS/s. The data collected can be for mechanical, electrical or thermal measurement quantities or signals provided by vehicle bus, camera, wheel force sensors or GPS.
Distributable & System Concept
The distributable QuantumX measurement modules and the data recorder are perfectly suited for both small and complex measurement tasks. During stationary long-term measurements in the field, the data recorder fully autonomously acquires data from widely distributed measurement modules such as, when used in the monitoring of bridges, wind turbines, tunnels or other large buildings or structures.
Typical mobile applications include vehicle dynamics tests (ride and handling) or road load data acquisition (RDLA) in rough terrain and roads. The recorded data is used for final validation and for initial load acquisition for durability or life-time testing of components, system parts or the complete vehicle in laboratory. In addition, the acquired data can be used as a basis for optimizing simulation models for fatigue tests to find out, for example, whether new system components will deliver under real operating conditions on what their simulation models promise. Installations in cars, commercial vehicles, trains or ships, do not provide an ideal environment for a PC or laptop. The Data Recorder CX22B offers sufficient computing power and even more as you can read in the grey box.
CX22B also offers highly flexible control offering options to use a directly connected touch screen, a tablet, LAN or encrypted remote access via the mobile phone network. The compact QuantumX data recorder opens up a new dimension in stand-alone data acquisition - it is flexible, easy to use, powerful and robust.
Right conclusions already in the field
The CX22B Data Recorder offers users the following possibilities thanks to sufficient computing power:
- Computation, automation, visualization and storage of measurement signals in a robust file format
- Ethernet or USB interfaces furthermore allow video cameras to be connected
- Wheel forces recorded by telemetry to be determined
- To enable the measured values and signals acquired in a specific driving situation to be assigned to the corresponding location, the position and movements of the vehicle in which the QuantumX CX22B has been installed can be determined using GPS or GLONASS sensors or Inertial Measurement Units (IMU)
- Powerful online signal computation including functions such as a scientific calculator, matrix calculation, class counting such as Rain flow, time-at-level, the flexibility of an online-FFT, electric power or efficiency calculation as well as many other functions help users draw the right conclusions already in the field

catman simplifies the parameterization, acquisition and visualization of your measurement data. With the latest catman version 4.2, you gain visualization of GPS data in map extracts for your road load data acquisition, as well as improved statistics for long-term measurements in your infrastructure monitoring including notifications.
