HBM realized early on that the environmental impact of its high-quality products would require comprehensive consideration. By 1996, the measures implemented by the company resulted in the certification of HBM's Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 (see also information on Certification and Accreditation).
The ongoing introduction of EU directives, and their implementation in the form of laws, regulations, etc. on a national level, involve extensive responsibilities for the adaptation of products to changing requirements.
At HBM, we consider this a challenge which will ultimately benefit our customers and the environment alike. Consequently, in almost all cases, our products comply with these requirements well before compliance becomes legally binding.
