digiCLIP: Modular Signal Conditioners for Process and Factory Automation

Whether it is force, pressure, torque, or load — the digiCLIP modular signal conditioning system acquires signals in production and process monitoring quickly and precisely. digiCLIP was specially developed for automation applications. It features a clip mechanism for easy installation on DIN rails and can be connected to virtually any strain gauge transducer in full bridge configuration.

Free Device Type Manager (DTM) software allows fast and easy amplifier parameterization, control, and diagnosis for reduced setup times. In addition, digiCLIP fully and automatically identifies transducers that come with TEDS, the Transducer Electronic Data Sheet. Starting up digiCLIP is easy, even for untrained staff.

digiCLIP Assistant, Firmware Loader and USB Driver (for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7/8/10) for easy setup of digiCLIP modules and for visualization.

For smooth operation of modules with CAN and DeviceNet interfaces, use the PEAK USB-to-CAN dongle.

For Profibus operation Hilscher and Siemens CP5511/12 and CP5711 is supported - to handle digiCLIP firmware-updates via CP5711 digiCLIP-modules have to be equipped with a adapted bootloader which is implemented starting with following serial-numbers: (DF30DP: 816711801 / DF31DP: 817427801).

All required drivers are included and will be installed during startup.

This example considers a simple test assembly including a Siemens CPU313-2DP and a DF30DP/DF31DP (digiclip). In this example, consistent (coherent) data are written and read via the Profibus with SFC14 and SFC15. As an additonal programming the parametercontainer is programmed to configure the DF30DP in the cyclic data exchange. To read configurations with DPV1 the Siemens function block SFB52 (PNO AK1131)is programmed, too. All commands and values for the configuration are shown in the official manual.
