Soldering Terminals for Strain Gauges

For strain gauges with leads or wires, solder terminals should be installed between the connecting cables and the strain gauge itself. This will facilitate the execution of a perfect solder joint and provide strain relief for the strain gauge connections.

The solder terminals are installed in the same way on the test object as on the strain gauge.

LS2 Soldering Terminal

Bronze soldering tag on polyimide carrier suitable for dynamic loads.
Attachment to test object by bonding.
Can be used up to 180°C (356°F), briefly up to 260°C (500°F)

Gold plated (option -G)

Copper, gold-plated, on polyimide
The gold coating enables fast, easy and safe soldering:
- Removing the oxide layer and cleaning is no longer necessary
- Soldering can be carried out directly
Only suitable for applications on materials with high thermal conductivity

Self adhesive (Option _S)

Copper, nickel-plated, on polyimide
The rear side of the solder terminal is equipped with an adhesive layer protected by tape.
This option brings the following advantages:
- No additional adhesive required
- Quicker and cleaner installation
- Installation on challenging areas (overhead, on radial surfaces…)

Soldering Pad for high temperature Strain Gauges

For special applications which require the use of soldering tabs in extremely high/low temperature regions, this product is the right choice.
