Hermetically Encapsulated Load Cell with High Load-Carrying Capacity
The hermetically encapsulated PW29 is a single-point load cell for high maximum capacities and large weighing platforms. The load cell is made of stainless steel and is ideally suited for precisely weighing huge loads; for example, in the food and beverage industry, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry.
PW29 delivers reliable measurement results in compliance with OIML R60 regulations even in tough operating conditions. This is due to the sophisticated measuring body design and the specifically optimized strain gauge system and rugged design.
Moreover, PW29 meets the highest possible IP68/IP69K degree of protection. Use in dust environments is not a problem as well as applications involving exposure to water and humidity. Even cleaning with high-pressure cleaners or aggressive cleaning agents does not affect the load cell's proper functioning.
Be it in classical scales manufacturing, plant engineering, or food production, PW29 is ideally suited to large platforms that can now be set up using a single HBM load cell. The single-point load cell guarantees precise measurement results in overhead rail, tabletop, floor and conveyor scales,; in production systems; or in tank weighing applications for level monitoring.
All PW29 models easily comply with the specified C3MR accuracy class. Both a load cell test certificate and an OIML certificate of compliance are available. Hence, the load cell is suited for use in legal-for-trade scales.
The adjustable overload protection and four threaded holes for fastening the load cell and mounting the weighing platform guarantee a high level of mechanical reliability. M12 threads are used from maximum capacities of 500 kg. Integrated thread adapters enable professional use of cable protection systems.
PW29P is a new version of the PW29 single-point load cell. The load cell comes with a plug that allows for flexible connection of cables. Two cables with connector -- one providing protection to IP68/IP69K -- make the load cell's fields of application more flexible and, at the same time, optimize its use in extremely adverse ambient conditions.
